There are some interesting rock formations at the headland where the layers of rock, once laid down horizontally, have been totally twisted to vertical by past geological events in this area. Some interesting sculptures, by Eduardo Chillida, have been placed here which 'fuse the fierceness of the sea with the strength of iron', 'where the wind could be combed as it entered the city'.You find quite a lot of open air artworks around San Sebastian.
